Some SEO cool tips for beginner's

For beginner's here are some cool tips for web optimization.

1.       Set keywords in the title tag.

2.       Set keywords in the meta tag description.

3.       Set keywords in the meta tag keyword.

4.       Set keywords in the title of anchor tag.

5.       Set keywords in the alt tag of Image tag.

6.       Set keywords in the phrases of your body content.

7.       Set keywords in the H1, H2, H6 tags.

The length of the tag

1.       TITLE tag should be between 5 and 12 words.

2.       TITLE tag should Not be exceeds 120 characters including spaces but Try to use the smaller number, 60-65 characters, for your site.

3.       Meta KEYWORDS tag should be between 0 and 50 words.

4.       Meta KEYWORDS tag should not be exceeds 1024 characters including spaces.

5.       Meta DESCRIPTION tag should be between 5 and 20 words. 

6.       Meta DESCRIPTION tag should not be exceeds 250 characters including spaces but try to use the smaller number, 150 characters, for your site.

7.       Avoid repeating keywords more than 3-7 times; you can get penalized for that.

6.       Number of links. The more links there are on a single page, the less valuable the link to your site from that page is.

7.       Non-recip links. Non-reciprocal links hold more weight than reciprocal links. (Google and yahoo! to a lesser degree)

8.       Authority sites. Links from authority sites (.gov, .edu and respected news and information related) hold more weight.

 

Helpful Tips for Writing the Title Tag

1.       Title Tag gives the summary of the content appearing on the page.

2.       Insert title tag just below the head tag.

3.       TITLE tag should be between 5 and 12 words

4.       Goggle usually reads about 90 characters of your Title Tag.

5.       Google and MSN listed up to 70 characters including space while Yahoo listed up to 120 characters including space and the extra words swabed out.

6.       Title with 120 or more characters is not good for a topic.

7.       My recommendation is that you should limit your title characters to 60 (up to 12 words) including spaces.

8.       Do not fill the title with your keywords!

9.       Do not repeat your keywords more than twice!

10.   A site with keywords repeated more than 3 times in title tag may not see anywhere in the major search engines.

11.   If your title characters below 60 characters (below 12 words) and the keyword density between 25% and 35% your site will get more chance to rank better.

12.   ((Total keywords*100)/(total words/total words in your keyword phrase) = your keyword density). For example if your title is: "Visit Munnar and Enjoy Its Scenic Beauty" and your keyword phrase is "Visit Munnar" then your keyword density is 28.5%.

13.   You could put the product or service you are offering, in the Title Tag, instead of your firm or company's name.
